Saigon Gaels

Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

About

Saigon Gaels are the hub of Irish sport in Saigon but are also a core part of the Irish social, community, and support network in the bustling city.

Our players hail not only from Ireland, we are proud to have representatives from all over the world pull on the green and white jersey – England, Scotland, France, USA, Canada, Australia, Philippines, and indeed Vietnam are just some of the countries that have been represented by the Gaels.

Our annual highlights are the South East Asian games every spring and the Fexco All-Asian Gaelic Games every autumn. In they last number of years, due to the growth and development of the club we have upset the odds at both tournaments and brought home silverware.

Efforts are constantly being made to grow the club and compete as often as possible. We train twice weekly, pay social and competitive matches in Saigon, host other teams, and travel internationally to regional tournaments.

We are always on the lookout for and very welcoming of new members to join in with our increasingly growing and successful club.

You can come along to join us, or even just watch, every Tuesday at 6pm at Saigon Sports Academy in District 2 (25A Nguyễn Duy Hiệu, Thảo Điền, Quận 2, An Phú Quận 2 Ho Chi Minh City) and on alternate Saturdays at Saigon Sports Academy or Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in D7 at 11am (702 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Tân Hưng, Ho Chi Minh City, Hồ Chí Minh 700000).

Our Facebook page is updated regularly with training, tournament, and social event info or you can get in touch with the club via Facebook, at saigongaels@gmail.com, or via WhatsApp on +84 1 222 626 481.
