The Club San Vicent GAA Valencia was created in October 2007 by an enthusiastic group of boys and girls (Irish and Spanish). Two teams were formed, one feminine and one masculine that exist today. For many of the Irish of the group who had not practiced the game in a long time, these first trainings served to refresh and remember instructions and exercises of a normal training session in any team in Ireland. In November 2007, just one month after the first training, the opportunity arose to participate in the last round of the European championship in Barcelona. Making a balance of pros and cons, it was considered convenient to take advantage of this opportunity. There we went, taking with us a lot of enthusiasm, desire to play and even players who had never before competed or seen a Gaelic football match !! We played 4 matches, of which we lost all. Even so, we maintained the confidence that we would be better prepared for the following seasons.
