Officially established in March 2010, Cumann Warszawa is the first ever Gaelic Football Club from Poland. Cumann Warszawa was officially founded by Dubliner Colm Murphy, Clareman Eoin Sheedy, The Rebel Eoin Vaughan & Yellow Bellied Janet Fleming. The first AGM took place in March 2010 where the proper committee was voted in at the meeting, consisting of Eoin Sheedy (chairman), Colm Murphy (secretary) and Janet Fleming (treasurer). Cumann Warszawa Mens Team won the Budapest Pan-European Championship on Saturday October 9th in Budapest. It turned out to be an unbelievable win by the mens team in only their 2nd ever competition – they beat Frankfurt and Belgium and went on to the final to beat Prague on penalties who had beaten Cumann Warszawa very well in the opening game of the group stages. The aim of the club is to play and promote gaelic games and Irish culture in general, as well as to provide the opportunities for the all the different community to get together. The response to the club so far has been tremendous, and the committee are single-minded in their desire to make this the best organisation it can possibly be.
