Auckland Celtic GFC was founded in 1969 in the Albion Hotel, Auckland by 12 Irishmen (aka the 12 Apostles). The club soon became well-known as a force to be reckoned with in Auckland GAA, not only for footballing ability but also for the great camaraderie between members. This is still true today over 40 years later. We work hard on the pitch and play hard together off it. We have developed as a club over the years with both the men’s and ladies teams providing some of the hardest fought, most memorable games of football witnessed in Auckland GAA. We are always looking to develop local talent and encourage new members to join up and become part of our team. That great sense of camaraderie is still strong today and is what makes being a member of Celtic GFC such a fantastic experience.
