Founded in 2015, in the city of Angers in the west of France, Anjou Gaels is the first GAA club in the Maine and Loire. The club was founded by four players: Vincent Chalmel a former player with Nantes GAA, Kayleigh O'Sullivan and Sinead Riordan (Kerry) former players for Rennes and Niort Ladies and Francois Jouet who just loved the sport. Now in its second season we have doubled our membership and will be able to field a team for the Federal Championship. The club is affiliated with the French Federation which is a member of Gaelic Games Europe all goverened by the GAA in Dublin.
