The Lorient GAC club was created in 2012 by local people interested in Gaelic Sports. The club now have nearly 60 members in Mens football, Ladies football, and Youth Team. The club is very dynamic in the promotion of Gaelic Games to the local population. Each summer, the club organize International Gaelic Games during the famous “Interceltic Festival” of Lorient. We even received Irish president Michael D Higgins in 2014. Lorient is twinned with the Irish club of Salthill Knocknacarra in Galway. Le club de Lorient a été fondé en 2012 par des locaux interessés par les sports gaéliques. Le club compte désromais une soixantaine de membres répartis dans les équipes masculins, féminines et jeunes. Le club est très dynamique dans la promotion des sports gaéliques auprès de la population locale. Chaque été, le club organise des matchs internationaux à l’occasion du célèbre Festival Interceltique de Lorient. Nous avons même accueilli le président Irlandais Michael D. Higgins en 2014. Lorient est jumelé avec le club Irlandais de Salthill Knocknacarra à Galway.
