The Gaelic Football Bro-Leon is a sports association to promote and develop Gaelic football in the Brest region and the Leon. Gaelic football is the most popular sport in Ireland (200 000 members) and it exports gradually throughout Europe. The first association to practice Gaelic football in Brest appeared in 1998. At the initiative of Breton and Irish, it is with the promotion association of Irish culture Blas Ceilteach the STARTING adventure. However, Gaelic football activity in the association then disparaissa. But thanks to several players who participated in this first experiment, an association specifically dedicated to the promotion and development of Gaelic football was created: the Gaelic Football Bro Leon. After a few difficult years in terms of workforce, GFBL attracts more curious and lovers of Irish culture.Structurally it is among our members a large number of passing students (including Erasmus) who can not make a lasting commitment with us. Therefore, we have to renew every year half of our workforce in order to exist.After a successful advertising campaign (posters, articles in newspapers), 2013-2014 looks good: we can count on the presence of more than 15 people in training.Since September 2013, a young section (10-14 years) has complemented the senior team of Bro Leon. To facilitate our future recruitment for the senior team, we decided to form our own youth
