Cú Chulainn's GAC are the Gaelic Football and Hurling Club of North-East of England. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, but with players from Sunderland, Durham and Teesside, the team compete in the Yorkshire League and Championship as well as the Peninne League against teams from Yorkshire and Lancashire. The club was founded in 2007 and has enjoyed great success in that time as well as providing an excellent sporting and social hub for the Irish Community in the area. 2018 will see the first season Cú Chulainns GAC will field a men's hurling team. Fixtures and competitions tbc in due course but most likely will compete against teams from Yorkshire and Lancashire. Tír na nÓg Caisléan Nua LGFA Ladies Gaelic football team was formed in 2017. The lades have enjoyed a great first season and will surely go from strength to strength. Both clubs use the Tyneside Irish Centre in Newcastle as a base for fundraising and social event and they provide great support for the club activities also. Please get in touch and get involved.
