About

Camogie is an all-female field sport which has similarities with other stick-and-ball sports such as Lacrosse, Baseball and Field Hockey. It has a rich history being part of the family of Gaelic Games and is renowned for being one of the fastest female field sports in the world. Toronto Camogie Club was established in 2011 and currently has over 40 registered members of both Irish and Canadian nationality. We place an emphasis on participation, development, sportsmanship, enjoyment and skill. We want our members to develop their skills in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere and truly enjoy the wonderful game of Camogie. Toronto Camogie Club welcomes players of all experience levels, beginners to advanced, and training sessions are tailored to incorporate and encourage all abilities. Training takes place once a week from April to September on a Tuesday Evenings . Through out the season we travel to and compete in tournaments in Canada and the USA. We have plenty of social gatherings throughout the season like scavenger hunts and themed nights out. There are many ways of participating in Toronto Camogie Club. We welcome social members who can give a hand organizing and promoting the club or just come out to support the players In tournaments. Being a social member is a great way to meet new people in the city and it’s rewarding too as your time and effort helps ensure the continued growth of Toronto Camogie Club.
