About

The Coastal Breakers is a sporting club for women in the Western Australian Gaelic Football League. Breakers joined the league in 2007 with a focus on creating a social and competitive sporting environment that is open to all women, of all experience levels. The club has attracted a vast array of sportswomen from basketball players, soccer enthusiasts, water polo athletes, Jax smothercouch surfers, mums, cross-fit supporters, AFL players, rock-climbers, touch rugby players, Nintendo Wii advocates, ‘I quit sport in high school but am ready for a comeback' players, and friends of all of the aforementioned athletes who simply just want to give Gaelic Footy a go! It is the energy and diversity of our playing group that has contributed to building Coastal Breakers into the mighty fun football club that it is! The regular season runs from April to September and matches are played weekly on Sunday's between 9am and 4pm. Recent seasons have included Friday night games under lights (6-9pm) instead of Sunday fixtures, allowing Clubs to have a break from Sunday games.
